So, a group of researchers in South America found that men who are marrying “chubby” (their words, not ours) are more likely to be happier and live longer. Now, who knows what they base their metrics on for chubbiness, but I’m going to guess it’s quite subjective.
But really, I think the core to this study is that people who are happy with their bodies and don’t torture themselves into a figure that they’re not naturally suited for are going to be happier people, and are therefore going to have happier spouses. I think it’s a chicken and egg scenario and I’d say they’re not happy just because they’re chubby but rather they’re happy because they’re overall happy with who they are.
But regardless, my husband should be the happiest man alive!
The Argentinian newspaper Nuevo Diario reports on the findings from the research conducted by Dr Filemón Alvarado and Dr Edgardo Morales at UNAM’s department of psychology.
